Terms of Use

Last updated: June 24, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Aperture website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Aperture (“Aperture,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Aperture, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, that you can form a binding contract with us, and that you are not prohibited from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction. The Service is intended only for individuals seeking to meet other adults.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and to keep it current. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@aperturedating.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable use & member conduct

Aperture is built on respect and mutual consent. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Service if you are not single or are otherwise misrepresenting your relationship intentions;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliation;
  • Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or abuse any other member;
  • Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that infringes others’ rights;
  • Solicit money, send spam, advertise, or use the Service for any commercial purpose;
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including human trafficking, fraud, or sex work;
  • Collect or harvest information about other members, or use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service;
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or reverse-engineer the Service or its security.

We may investigate and take action — including removing content, suspending, or terminating accounts — for any conduct we believe violates these Terms or harms other members or the Service.

4. Safety & interactions with other members

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, both online and in person. Aperture does not conduct criminal background checks or otherwise verify the identity, background, or conduct of members. We make no representations about the conduct of members, and you agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions — especially when meeting someone for the first time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aperture is not responsible for the conduct of any member.

5. Content you provide

You retain ownership of the photos, text, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant Aperture a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate and provide the Service. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that Your Content does not violate these Terms or any law.

6. Subscriptions & payments

Parts of the Service may be offered for a fee, including optional premium features and subscriptions. Pricing and terms will be disclosed at the point of purchase. Where purchases are made through a third-party app store, that store’s payment terms, billing, and cancellation policies also apply. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that you will find a match or a relationship through it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aperture and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aperture from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in [Jurisdiction], unless otherwise required by applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
